Who We Are
ILF is a specialist metal manufacturer, copper producer and stockholder supporting customers across electrical, engineering, transport, construction and specialist manufacturing industries.
Founded in 2003, we have continually invested in our people, stockholding and manufacturing capabilities to offer customers more than material supply alone.
Our operation now brings together copper production, extensive non-ferrous metal stockholding, cutting, punching, bending, CNC machining and finishing, allowing us to support requirements from raw material through to components manufactured to customer-supplied drawings.

2003
ILF Established
ILF begins as a specialist metal stockholder with copper at the heart of the business.
2020
A New Home
Continued growth leads to a move into our 20,000 sq ft Cannock facility, creating additional space for stockholding, manufacturing and further investment.
2024
UK Copper Production
Major investment in copper production equipment enables ILF to manufacture copper bar directly in the UK, strengthening our control over supply, lead times and production quantities.
From Material to Finished Component
UK copper production
Our copper mill allows us to manufacture copper flat bar directly at our Cannock facility, giving customers access to UK-produced material alongside our wider stock range.
Extensive metal stockholding
We stock copper, aluminium, brass, bronze, stainless steel and specialist metals in a wide range of grades, sizes and forms.
Cut, punch, bend and machine
Our in-house manufacturing capabilities include precision cutting, punching, bending and machining, allowing components to be produced to customer specifications.
Finish, inspect and supply
Specified finishing processes can be incorporated before completed components are inspected and prepared for delivery.

ILF has grown far beyond traditional metal stockholding.
By combining material supply and manufacturing under one roof, we can support customers at multiple stages of their supply chain.
Some customers come to us for raw copper or aluminium. Others require material cut to size, busbars manufactured to drawing, or precision-machined components ready for their next production stage.
Bringing these capabilities together can simplify procurement, reduce the number of suppliers involved and give customers greater control over how their requirements are fulfilled.
