How We Helped a Panel Builder
Supporting a Bespoke Manufacturing Requirement
ILF was approached by a UK panel builder requiring custom copper busbars for a new project.
The customer is an established supplier and exporter of motor control and automation equipment, supporting applications across industries including water treatment, mining and manufacturing. Their project required accurately manufactured copper busbar components that could be incorporated directly into the wider electrical assembly.
The Requirement
The customer discussed the finished application with our team and provided the information required for manufacture.
Once the required dimensions and specification had been confirmed, ILF reviewed the production requirements and established the most appropriate manufacturing process.
Accuracy and repeatability were particularly important, ensuring each component could be produced consistently and integrated into the customer’s equipment.
Precision Busbar Manufacturing
The approved component specification was programmed into our EHRT punching and bending equipment, allowing the copper busbars to be manufactured accurately and efficiently.
EHRT technology enables ILF to carry out precision punching and bending operations within a controlled production process, making it particularly well suited to repeatable busbar manufacturing.
By combining copper stockholding with our in-house processing capabilities, ILF was able to manage the material supply and manufacture of the required components through a single specialist supplier.
The Result
The finished copper busbars were produced to the customer’s requirements, providing the panel builder with accurately manufactured components ready for use within its wider assembly.
