UK Copper Mill
UK copper manufacturing, processing and stockholding from our facility in Cannock, Staffordshire.
A UK Copper Mill with In-House Manufacturing
ILF is more than a copper stockholder. We have invested in direct copper production at our Midlands facility, allowing us to manufacture copper bar in the UK and provide customers with greater control over sizes, quantities and lead times.
Our copper mill sits alongside extensive in-house manufacturing capabilities, including cutting, punching, bending and CNC machining. This enables us to support customers from copper material supply through to semi-finished and fully manufactured components produced to customer-supplied drawings.
What Does Our Copper Mill Produce?
Our investment in copper production allows ILF to manufacture copper flat bar directly in the UK. We can produce copper flat bar with cross-sectional areas from 75 mm² to 3,000 mm², with lengths available up to 10 metres.
Producing copper directly gives us greater flexibility than relying entirely on externally manufactured stock. Alongside our own production, ILF maintains an extensive copper stockholding and supplies flat bar, busbars, square bar, profiles, wire, sheet, plate and other copper products for electrical, engineering and industrial applications.

Why Choose ILF as Your Copper Manufacturing Partner?
Our copper mill strengthens an already extensive UK manufacturing and stockholding operation, giving customers access to material production, processing and finished component manufacture through one supplier.
2
Shorter Lead Times
We can offer greater flexibility around production requirements. ILF identifies quicker lead times and smaller order quantities as two of the key benefits by bringing copper production in-house.
1
Direct UK Copper Production
Manufacturing copper bar at our Cannock facility reduces our reliance on finished material sourced from overseas and gives us greater control over production and availability.
3
Everything in One Place
Copper can move from material production and stockholding into cutting, punching, bending, CNC machining and finishing without customers needing to coordinate multiple specialist suppliers.
4
Extensive Experience
Copper is at the centre of our business. We supply and manufacture copper products for electrical, power, automotive, rail, marine, aerospace, construction and wider engineering applications.

From Copper Mill to Finished Component

UK Copper Production
We manufacture copper bar directly at our Midlands facility, giving customers a UK source for material production rather than relying solely on imported finished bar.

Cut and Prepare
Material can be cut and prepared for the next stage of production, helping customers order copper in dimensions better suited to their manufacturing requirements. ILF already supplies many materials cut to size rather than only as full sheets or full lengths.

Manufacture to Your Drawing
Our in-house cutting, punching, bending and CNC machining capabilities allow copper to be transformed into finished or semi-finished components in accordance with customer-supplied drawings and specifications.

Finish and Supply
Where specified, further processes including plating and linishing can be incorporated before completed components are inspected and supplied. This allows customers to consolidate several stages of copper procurement and manufacturing with one UK supplier.
Supporting UK Manufacturing
Bringing copper production back in-house gives ILF greater control over the supply chain and reduces the distance finished copper bar needs to travel before reaching our manufacturing operation.
Direct production also supports shorter lead times, smaller minimum order quantities and a reduced carbon footprint compared with relying entirely on externally manufactured copper bar.
Our wider approach to quality and environmental management is supported by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
Copper Mill FAQs
ILF is both a copper manufacturer and a major copper stockholder. We manufacture copper flat bar directly in the UK while also holding and supplying a broad range of copper products and grades.
Our copper production capability allows us to manufacture copper flat bar from 75 mm² to 3,000 mm² in cross-sectional area and in lengths up to 10 metres. Our wider manufacturing operation can then cut, punch, bend and CNC machine copper into components to customer-supplied specifications.
Yes. One of the main advantages of manufacturing copper directly is greater flexibility around dimensions and quantities. Speak to our team with your material requirements and we can confirm what can be produced.
Yes. Alongside copper production and stockholding, our in-house capabilities include cutting, punching, bending and CNC machining, with further finishing processes available where required. Components are manufactured from customer-supplied drawings and specifications.
