Copper Round Bar – UK Manufacturer, Supplier & Stockholder
We manufacture & stock a full range of copper round bar for use in a variety of industries
Copper Round Bar
As a UK copper round bar manufacturer and stockholder, ILF Products produces round bar in diameters from 3 mm to 8 inches for electrical and engineering applications. Copper combines excellent electrical and thermal conductivity with good corrosion resistance. Consequently, round bar suits electrical components, machined parts, connectors and general engineering.
Alongside round bar we supply busbar, flat bar, square bar, wire, sheet and tube. In-house precision cutting and CNC machining let us support both standard material requirements and custom copper components.
What is a round bar?
A solid cylindrical section, round bar is supplied in straight lengths. ILF Products makes it in diameters from 3 mm to 8 inches. Because the profile is consistent along its full length, it suits turning, machining and the production of cylindrical components, especially where conductivity and dimensional accuracy matter.
We manufacture it at our Cannock, Staffordshire works, with several grades available to suit different electrical, engineering and manufacturing requirements.

Key Benefits of Copper Round Bar
The cylindrical profile gives engineers a versatile starting material for electrical, engineering and manufacturing applications. Specifically, a solid round section machines and turns well. That suits components which need reliable electrical or thermal conductivity, with dimensional consistency to match.
2
Excellent Conductivity
Copper’s defining property is its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. For that reason, round bar suits electrical components, connectors, switchgear parts, grounding components and any other application where efficient conductivity matters.
1
Strong, Solid Profile
A solid cylindrical section gives engineers a consistent material profile to machine into pins, bushes, connectors and other round components. Its uniform shape also makes it well suited to turning and precision manufacturing.
3
Easy to Machine and Fabricate
Copper round bar can be cut, drilled and machined to suit your requirements. Furthermore, the choice of grade gives you options where machinability or conductivity takes priority.
4
Multiple Industry Uses
Manufacturers rely on copper round bar across electrical engineering, power distribution, automotive, transport, general engineering and precision manufacturing.

Copper Round Bar FAQs
It is used across electrical, engineering, manufacturing and industrial applications. Common uses include electrical components, connectors, earthing systems, switchgear components, machined parts, fasteners and other components where good electrical or thermal conductivity is required.
We can supply copper round bar in a wide range of diameters, with standard sizes available from 3 mm up to 8 inches. If you require a diameter outside our standard range, speak to our team about your specification and we will advise on the options available.
We can supply copper in several grades, including C101, C103, C109 and C111. The most appropriate grade will depend on factors such as conductivity, machinability, fabrication requirements and the intended application.
C101, also known as CW004A or Cu-ETP, is a high-purity grade containing a minimum of 99.90% copper. It offers excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and is commonly specified for electrical and general engineering applications.
Yes. It can be cut, drilled, turned and machined to produce a wide variety of components. Where extensive machining is required, the choice of copper grade can make an important difference, so our team can help you select a suitable material for your manufacturing process.
Yes. Copper’s excellent electrical conductivity makes round bar suitable for many electrical and power distribution applications, including connectors, earthing components, switchgear and other conductive parts.
